When we put our trust in God we will prosper

God wants to transfer the wealth of sinners into the hands of godly people

God delights in prospering people who favour His righteous cause

Psalm 35:27 (NKJ)

 

God’s righteous cause is that everyone be saved & know Jesus

 1 Timothy 2:4-5 (MSG) – Matthew 28:19 (NLT) – Mark 16:15 (NLT)

 

The rich young ruler rejected eternal life & opportunity to be apostle because he trusted in his riches

God wants to prosper us but He doesn’t want us to trust in money or to love money

1 Timothy 6:5-11 (NLT, TLB, TPT) – 1 Timothy 6:17- 19 (TLB, MSG, TPT) –

 

God doesn’t want us to be obsessed with money

Hebrews 13:5 (TPT, MSG, NIV)

 

Jesus said we mustn’t focus on money, be enslaved to money, worry about money

Instead we must seek God’s kingdom first

Jesus told us to use worldly wealth to win souls & further God’s kingdom - Luke 16:9 (TPT, AMP)

If we are faithful with what we have then God will give us more responsibilities – Luke 16:10-12 (TPT)

Those who fear the Lord will prosper – Psalm 25:>12-13 (NLT) – Psalm 112:1-3 (NLT)

 

Tithing is the test to see if we fear God, trust God & put God first in our lives

We must not live for only this life on earth because we won’t take any worldly wealth with us
